2017 has finally arrived and although I am almost a month late on the celebrations, I still would like to wish everyone a fantastic year ahead. As 2016 drew to a close I organised for a workshop to be put together in my garage. It has been in the ideas phase for a while and has halted a lot of my progress on making costumes or doing much at all which is why I have done nothing since Halloween this year. I've created a little video about my new lovely space and I am so excited to show you all the things I can and will do in here.
The Personal Project Exhibition was a while ago now but I finally have the chance to tell you all about that amazing experience. It was a really fun night considering that it was a school event and I was really impressed with the verity of projects and how well they reflected each individual girl's style and personality.
Today I'm trying something new to deliver quick updated on my projects. VIDEO! I quickly shot a video of myself wearing my newly finished armour. Feel free to leave feedback on the quality, I will say that I shot the video vertically on my phone and I apologise in advance. But I hope you enjoy this new format.
My last post was about 6 months ago now so I believe I owe you all something new and I am happy to report that I have made some good progress on my Athena and Lux cosplays fro my IB MYP Personal Project. Im super excited to share this with you as I am amazingly proud of what I was able to achieve, this is my first time working with Worbla and I am very surprised at how this has been working out.
Its been a while since I've done many projects so I haven't had many interesting things to write about. BUT I have two new cosplays coming down the pipeline that I'm really excited to share with you!
So I finally finished the Chocola costume, I had to finish the sleeves, back and accessories. Boy was this dress a challenge I can't wait to see Tiga's face!
I personally have always had an interest in Special FX make-up, I think its fun and can take a costume to the next level. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube on some specific looks that use SFX techniques like Glam&Gore who is my personal favourite. Sadly I am not an expert in this type of make-up, I can only really do face painting and general make up, so I have enlisted the help of my friend Tara, who is an amazing Special FX make-up artist, some of her stuff will be shown below.
As I said in my Chocola post, I've been really busy making some costumes for myself and my friends on top of all my school work and still trying to stay social. This year I've decided to cosplay as Yuno Gasai and get a little bit crazy.
My friends and I are having a Halloween party this year and so I've been pretty busy making costumes for myself and my friends. And here is one of the costumes I've made for one of my close friends and fellow cosplayer, (for security's sake) Tiga (picking the name herself) , she's cosplaying as Chocola.
